Alex Karev (Justin Chambers) decided to accept a plea deal at the end of the winter finale of Grey’s Anatomy.
In hot water thanks to his scuffle with Deluca (Giacomo Gianniotti), Alex ignored Meredith’s (Ellen Pompeo) pleas and was swayed to accept 2 years in prison after Jo (Camilla Luddington) came clean about her abusive ex-husband.
Elsewhere in the episode the doctors dealt with a building collapse, Bailey (Chandra Wilson) upset Richard (James Pickens Jr.) by announcing that Eliza Minnick (Marika Dominczyk) was taking over the resident training programme, and Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) left Owen (Kevin McKidd).
The next episode of the season is You Can Look (But You’d Better Not Touch). Bailey, Arizona and Jo are sent to a women’s prison to treat a violent 16-year-old inmate and her unborn baby.
