Tropico 6 is out now on PC

The wait is over and Tropico 6 has finally been released on PC with console versions to come later in the year, all hail El Presidente! The release of Tropico 6 had been delayed and it’s great to see it finally released. I’ve been dipping in and out of the beta since it became available and even this version of Tropico 6 was a blast.

You won’t be surprised to hear that you will play the role of El Presidente as he carves out his own place in the world. And a Tropico game wouldn’t be complete without Penultimo, rest assured he’s also along for the ride.

For me, the Tropico series stands out from other city management games in various ways. At a glance, the game doesn’t seem to take itself too seriously but there is an awful lot of depth to the systems if you go digging. I love the tropical landscape and how your islands evolve as you progress through history.

You can view the release trailer below:

For the first time in the series, manage extensive archipelagos, build bridges to connect your islands and use new means of transportation and infrastructure. Send your Tropicans on raids to steal the wonders of the world, including the Statue of Liberty and the Eiffel Tower. Customize your palace at will and give election speeches from your balcony, to win the favour of your subjects.

Will you be a warmongering Dictator or a peace-loving statesman? The choice is yours in Tropico 6.

Tropico 6 is available now on Steam.
