Tomorrow is Halloween so we’ve decided to pick out our top 10 games that have Halloween themed events this year.
It seems that this year more games than ever are vying for players attention on Halloween. It’s always been popular for MMO’s to celebrate the occasion but this year gamers are spoilt for choice as all kinds of genres are getting in on the action.
Below are our top 10 picks for this year along with some brief details, dates of events and links where you can find out more.
10. Ark: Survival Evolved
Until November 6th
Ark: Fear Evolved 2 is the second year that Ark has run a Halloween event. The moon has turned blood red while the world is filled with all kinds of Halloween creatures, candy, hats, masks and pumpkin patches.

9. Grand Theft Auto V
Until November 7th
Players can look out for Halloween-themed vehicles and a special Lost vs Damned mode. It’s Devils vs Angels battling it out with a 60-second day/night cycle granting bonuses to each.

8. Gears of War 4
Until November 1st
Look out for the Pumpkin Ball playlist. It’s a remixed Dodgeball list where players can find Pumpkin heads. There’s also bonus XP and a special Elite Gear pack just for Halloween that can drop items from the Day of the Dead Legendary Collection.

7. Destiny
Until November 8th
The Festival of the Lost returns with trick-or-treating, quests and plenty of treats such as masks, consumables and emotes. There are apparently tricks to watch out for too and Crucible matches take place at night.

6. The Elder Scrolls Online
Until November 1st
The Elder Scrolls Online gets its first Halloween event, The Witches Festival. Grab a free Crow Caller from the Crown Store to obtain a special quest called The Witchmother’s Bargain. Completing this gains you a special whistle that summons a Cauldron. This can polymorph you and your group into the Undead and grant players special loot while the spell lasts.

5. Final Fantasy XIV
Until November 1st
The All Saints’ Wake event returns again this year to Final Fantasy XIV. A quest series can reward players with a Continental Eye minion, Vampire Armor and Halloween themed goodies.

Until November 9th
Look out for special event quests that reward you with Halloween items. There’s also daily candy rewards for logging in and a special time-limited bundle packed with treats including a bloody suit, ghost pet and skeletal horse armor.

3. Overwatch
Until November 1st
The second seasonal event for Overwatch arrived just in time for Halloween. Look out for special candy loot boxes that reward Halloween-themed items. There’s also a special co-op Brawl mode where 4 players can face off against zombie robots.

2. World of Warcraft
Until November 1st
The annual Hallow’s End event returns to WoW. Take your characters trick-or-treating across Azeroth to the various inns for special candy rewards and money. This year introduces new rewards for taking on the Headless Horseman in Scarlet Monastery each day.

1. Guild Wars 2
The Shadow of the Mad King event returns again to Guild Wars 2 for Halloween. Look out for the Mad King’s Labyrinth and the insanely difficult Clock Tower jumping puzzle. Lion’s Arch has been redecorated for the event and there are plenty of treats to be had.
