Minecraft: Xbox One Edition out Friday 5th Sept

Microsoft have announced that Minecraft will enter the next generation on Friday, 5th Sept. with the release of Minecraft: Xbox One Edition (PEGI rating 7+).

Starting this Friday, players can purchase and download Minecraft: Xbox One Edition as either a full price game for £15.99 or as an upgrade from Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition for just £3.99. To qualify to upgrade players must own the retail disc or digital version of Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition and connect to Xbox Live with their account.

With worlds up to 36 times larger than on Xbox 360, now there’s an even bigger canvas to create on. You can even transfer your favourite Xbox 360 worlds and content to the Xbox One Edition so you won’t lose your creations.

And, with the widest range of downloadable content on console, you’ll never run out of new worlds to explore with four-player split-screen on one console or up to eight players over Xbox Live for Gold members.

Whether you’re a veteran Minecraft player continuing your journey or a new member of the community, you’ll be able to kick off your weekend in style with Minecraft: Xbox One Edition.

EF will be bringing you a full review of the Xbox One edition later this month.
