Halloween themed Escalation Contract announced for Hitman 2

Hitman 2 is planning on getting all spooky for Halloween with the announcement of a new Halloween themed Escalation Contract. The contract will play out on the Hawke’s Bay map and will be available for free for all players who download the free Hitman 2 starter pack. The event will go live on 22nd October.

The event will see the map getting a seasonal facelift with skeletons, pumpkins, crows and other holiday-inspired trimmings in abundance. Any player who manages to complete the mission will receive the Tactical Wetsuit and Bat Shuriken as a reward.

The remote setting of Hawke’s Bay makes it perfect for a spooky setting and the trailer certainly plays to this. The trailer is incredibly creepy and I can only presume that it’s Agent 47 hiding behind that pumpkin head. The trailer appears to depict some very sinister goings-on in Hawke’s Bay with almost ritualistic killings taking place. This is pure speculation but maybe it isn’t Agent 47 wearing the pumpkin and this could, in fact, be the target.

Alongside the Halloween update are lots of other changes and fixes, you can check out all of the detail at the official Hitman 2 blog page. Even though October is almost at an end there is still more content to come before the end of the month. There will be a drop of three Legacy Challenge packs, a new Elusive Target on Whittleton Creek and a Hawke’s Bay challenge pack that will unlock the Red-Tie Kiwi.
