Koei Tecmo Europe and Team Ninja have announced that there will be an exclusive Steelboook for those that pre-order Dead or Alive 6 which is due to be released on 15th February 2019. This offer only applies to physical pre-orders. The Steelbook features the two rival ninjas, Ryu Hayabusa and Hayate, locked in battle.

We’ve already shown you a sneak preview of the new character NiCO but there is more to Dead or Alive 6 than just new characters. For the first time in the franchise there will be a break gauge which gets filled with every attack, block and when you take damage. Once charged players can either release a ‘Break blow’ which is a devastating special attack or a ‘Break hold’ which is a powerful counter move, it deals low damage but will block high, mid and low attacks.
There will also be two new stages. Rumble Danger is essentially an illegal fight club where the spectators will be able to grab and stagger a fighter if they get too close. Mass Destruction is a stage full of smashable stuff such as furniture and crates, fighters will take extra damage if they are blown into them.
Dead or Alive 6 is currently in development for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
