Elder Scrolls Online launches Murkmire DLC

Zenimax Online Studios have released the latest DLC for Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) for PC and Mac. The new DLC is entitled Murkmire and is set, not surprisingly, in Murkmire which is part of the Argonian home land of Black Marsh.

Players will get the see Murkmire in all it’s swampy glory as they explore this new zone. An all new main quest line will take players on a journey spanning the whole zone where they will come across ancient temples, houses on stilts and lethal flora & fauna. The Argonians (or Saxhleel) as they like to call themselves have always been colorful characters in all of the Elder Scrolls games and Murkmire should prove no different as players delve deeper into the lore of the Argonians and their revered Hist trees.

Murkmire introduces two new delves, two world bosses and also the chance to prove your metal in Blackrose Prison. In the prison your team of 4 players will be subject to five rounds of battle. Zenimax describe it as being extremely challenging and the booty for topping the leaderboards will include new powerful weapons and armor sets.

Zenimax are also Players simply need to participate in events spanning across four events — the Witches Festival, Clockwork City Celebration, the Undaunted Celebration and New Life Festival – starting October 18th and culminating on the January 2nd 2018. By participating, players can earn four exclusive Indrik Feathers which can then be exchanged for the mount.

In addition to this paid DLC there has also been the release of free update 20. The full details of which can be found on the official ESO page

The highlights of the the update are the numerous changes made to the housing system including the addition of music boxes and the introduction of fully destructible and repairable bridges which can be taken into Cyrodil.

As if this wasn’t enough there’s more! Players can also get their hands on a new Nascent Indrik mount (pictured above) for free. Players simply need to participate in events spanning across four events — the Witches Festival, Clockwork City Celebration, the Undaunted Celebration and New Life Festival – starting October 18th and culminating on the January 2nd, 2019. You can purchase ESO from Steam or the official stores for Xbox and PS4 although console players will have to wait until November 6th.
