DOOM Eternal gameplay revealed at QuakeCon

Last night at QuakeCon, Bethesda and id Software revealed the first look at the gameplay of Doom Eternal. The game is a sequel to 2016’s reboot of DOOM and is heading to PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

DOOM Eternal puts you in control of the unstoppable DOOM Slayer as you blow apart new and classic demons with powerful weapons in unbelievable and never-before-seen worlds. The footage below shows the DOOM Slayer in action as he shoots, kicks, punches and literally tears the demons to shreds.

A new multiplayer feature was teased that allows players to take the roles of demons and invade the campaigns of other players. id also explained that it’s possible for teams of demons to team up against their friends. This invasion feature is completely optional so you can turn it on or off as you wish.

DOOM Eternal is powered by idTech7 which runs the action at 60fps with ten times the detail of the previous game. The action is set to an all-new pulse-pounding soundtrack composed by Mick Gordon.
