Dark Quest 2 by Brain Seal has been around on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PS4 for just over a year now and has received positive reviews on Steam. Most of the comments point out that the game is simple enough to get into and learn but challenging enough to make it enjoyable. Dark Quest 2 is now also available on iOS and Android.
Dark Quest 2 is clearly inspired by old school dungeon crawler board games such as Hero Quest, in fact, Brain Seal openly state that they have taken inspiration from Darkest Dungeon, Dungeon Saga, Hero Quest, Talisman and Warhammer Quest.

If like me, you played some of these games in your youth then I’m sure your interest is already piqued.
Dark Quest 2 is a turn-based RPG. The game features a party based system where you control a group of heroes, an isometric hand-drawn art style, dice-based mechanics for all computations (it rolls dice to determine an outcome) and much more.
Each map is designed to take you through an adventure that will test your party’s strength, courage and sanity as you go deeper and deeper into the castle in search for the chambers of the evil sorcerer.
