Build an Xbox One games library via Xbox 360

If you own and Xbox 360 but haven’t made the jump to Xbox One yet you should take note of this interesting information from Major Nelson.

As long as you have an Xbox 360 and Xbox Live Gold you can add the monthly free Xbox One Games with Gold to your Xbox account. You don’t need to own an Xbox One in order to do this but the games will be saved for you to download in the future when you do.

To do this you just need to go to the Games with Gold section from the Xbox 360 dashboard and then ‘buy’ the free game(s) each month. You can also do this via the Xbox.com website.

So for example if you started doing this today but don’t get an Xbox One until Christmas you’ll have a nice stack of games ready to download. With at least one free game available a month every Xbox 360 owner should take advantage of this.

The Xbox One Games with Gold for March are Rayman Legends and #IDARB. Microsoft have also announced that there will be double Games with Gold in April.

Please note this does not make Xbox One games playable on an Xbox 360.
