Since Peaky Blinders first aired on our screens six years ago, flat caps have come back in (hopefully minus the razor blades), you can buy Peaky Blinders gin and beer and sometime next year you’ll be able to buy Peaky Blinders the video game.
Media company Endemol, Publisher Curve Digital and developer FuturLab have teamed up to create a “narrative action game inspired by the critically acclaimed, epic gangster drama”.
For now here’s a trailer of the Peaky Blinders TV show:
Curve Digital CEO Dominic Wheatly said, “We are thrilled to be working with Endemol Shine Group on this unique IP. Peaky Blinders is at the top of my list of favourite TV shows and the characters and stories will now be transformed into an interactive experience. Can’t wait.”
I’m trying to imagine what a Peaky Blinders game would be like and my brain keeps jumping to a GTA style affair set in the time of the TV series. Of course I could be completely wrong but what ever form the game takes there are certainly enough brilliant characters and heavy hitting action to take inspiration from.
Peaky Blinders the game is due sometime in 2020.
