300: Rise of an Empire
The latest instalment in Frank Miller’s graphic novel saga is based on Xerxes. 300: Rise of an Empire” pits Themistokles against the massive invading Persian forces led by mortal-turned-god Xerxes, and Artemisia, vengeful commander of the Persian navy.
If you like movies with gore, action and plenty of beefy men in next to nothing then this will be a good way to spend part of your weekend.

Escape From Planet Earth
Something for the whole family this weekend is new 3D animated comedy Escape From Planet Earth. The movie catapults moviegoers to planet Baab where admired astronaut Scorch Supernova (Brendan Fraser) is a national hero to the blue alien population.
When Scorch heads off on a mission to a dangerous planet, it’s left to his brother Gary (Rob Corddry) to save the day and his family.

The Grand Budapest Hotel
Wes Anderson’s movie always tend to divide audiences and critics. It’s safe to say that if you’re a fan you won’t want to miss his latest effort which features Ralph Fiennes working with the director for the first time.
The Grand Budapest Hotel tells of a legendary concierge at a famous European hotel between the wars and his friendship with a young employee who becomes his trusted protégé. The story involves the theft and recovery of a priceless Renaissance painting, the battle for an enormous family fortune and the slow and then sudden upheavals that transformed Europe during the first half of the 20th century.
