The official teaser trailer has arrived for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
The synopsis for the film was posted up on Facebook today and reads: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, is the first film in the new series of standalone Star Wars movies from Lucasfilm. It tells the story of how a group of unlikely heroes unite to undertake a daring and seemingly impossible mission to steal the plans for the Death Star.
The film stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Jiang Wen, Forest Whitaker, Mads Mikkelsen and Alan Tudyk. It features a screenplay by Chris Weitz and a story by John Knoll and Gary Whitta, and is directed by Gareth Edwards.
The first official teaser trailer for the movie establishes Felicity Jones as Jyn Erso and gives a good glimpse at the action and special effects set to come when the film arrives this winter.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will be released on 16th December in the UK. Watch the teaser trailer below:
