The trailer has arrived for Netflix’s upcoming horror Velvet Buzzsaw, which arrives on the streaming platform from 1st February 2019.
Described as a satirical thriller, Velvet Buzzsaw is set in the contemporary art world scene of Los Angeles, where big money artists and mega-collectors pay a high price when art collides with commerce.
The film stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Rene Russo, Zawe Ashton, Natalia Dyer, John Malkovich, Daveed Diggs, Toni Collette and Tom Sturridge. It is written and directed by Dan Gilroy and produced by Jennifer Fox.
In the trailer Gyllenhaal is seen in character as art dealer Morf Vandewalt. He stumbles upon a collection of paintings by a man who has passed away, unaware that they have strange supernatural powers that prove to be deadly.
