Top 5 Horror Channel FrightFest 2017 films

Horror Channel FrightFest took place over the Bank Holiday weekend and it served up 5 days of solid horror entertainment.

With a host of premieres, lots of film-making talent and so many films on offer, it was the best year of the festival yet. Even better, it returned to London’s Empire, Leicester Square.

We spent the past five days watching as many films as we possibly could and it’s far to say the slate was very strong this year. After much deliberation, we’ve picked out Top 5 films of Horror Channel FrightFest 2017.

We said: ‘Mancini has a wild imagination clearly and he manages to channel all of his ideas into a film that is a worthy successor to Curse of Chucky. Itā€™s also perhaps his most balls-to-the-wall outing yet but thatā€™s definitely part of its charm.’

1. Tragedy Girls

We said: ‘Tragedy Girls is a welcome breath of fresh air for the horror genre. Itā€™s suitably outrageous and shocking while maintaining a wicked sense of humour. MacIntyre has a real breakout hit on his hands here and Tragedy Girls could well be one of the defining horror movies of a generation.’
