Director Baltasar Kormákur’s (Everest) Adrift will be released on Digital Download on 22nd October 2018 and Blu-ray and DVD on 5th November 2018 via STXinternational, a division of STX Entertainment, and Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.
Based on a real-life memoir, Adrift stars Shailene Woodley (Big Little Lies) and Sam Claflin (Me Before You). The two star as free-spirited romantics who set out to experience an adventure of a life-time across the ocean.
Part-way through their journey, their ship is disabled by one of the most catastrophic hurricanes recorded in history. In the aftermath of the storm, it’s sink or survive as Tami is forced to take control – no land, rescue or end in sight.
Tami Oldham (Woodley) and Richard Sharp (Claflin) couldn’t anticipate they would be sailing directly into one of the most catastrophic hurricanes in recorded history. In the aftermath of the storm, Tami awakens to find Richard badly injured and their boat in ruins. With no hope for rescue, Tami must find the strength and determination to save herself and the only man she has ever loved.
