Psycho to be screened with live orchestra

Alfred Hitchcock’s masterpiece, Psycho, will be screened in high-definition on 4th March at 7.30 pm at the Dominion Theatre in London. The screening will be accompanied on stage by a live 40-piece Orchestra. The event promises to be an incredible live experience not to be missed.

Celebrated as one of Hitchcock’s finest cinematic works, Psycho is consistently hailed as a groundbreaking film, and set the template for a whole new genre of hugely successful psychological thrillers.

Bernard Herrmann’s evocative score has become infamous in it’s own right, and Hitchcock himself remarked that “33% of the effect of Psycho was due to the music”. The soundtrack will be per-formed live by the Cinematic Sinfonia and conducted by Anthony Ga-briele.

The film stars Janet Leigh as Marion Crane and Anthony Perkins as Norman Bates, and led to The Bates Motel and “the shower scene” entering the common lexicon.
