Pop Up Screens returns for Cinema in the Snow

The crazy-good summer we had this year was perfect for some outdoor cinema fun, but now that the season is over you’d be forgiven for planning your winter hibernation. Well thankfully, Pop Up Screens is returning for a series of indoor treats from their ‘Cinema in the Snow’ season, meaning you can once again revisit some brilliant movies in a great location (without worrying about the weather!).

Pop Up Screens – Cinema in the Snow will take place at Hackney Showrooms, running from the 13th-23rd December 2018.

You can pre-book tickets now over at the Pop Up Screens website

Narnia is the inspiration once again for Cinema in the Snow, which returns to the capital for more festive fun.

Pop Up Screens will run both matinee and evening screenings so that you have a great selection to pick from – or fit in a cheeky film screening in-between your Christmas shopping obligations. With imagination and lots of fake snow and fir essence, festive films like Love Actually, Elf and Home Alone will be making a comeback and getting audiences ready for Christmas.

Pop Up Screens will transform Hackney Showrooms into an enchanting alpine wonderland. Guests will be immersed in an Pop Up Screens take on Narnia, and enter a snowy forest through a wardrobe before sitting down for a screening with a mulled wine in hand.

This year’s slate includes Home Alone, The Muppet Christmas Carol, Miracle on 34th Street, The Chronicles of Narnia, Elf, The Holiday, Arthur Christmas, The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Santa Clause, Love Actually and It’s A Wonderful Life.

Pop Up Screens founder David Leydon says: “Our ‘Cinema in the Snow’ is all about making film watching memorable and exciting for the whole family. We’re excited to have added matinee screenings to proceedings this year so kids and parents of all ages can come and enjoy our Narnia inspired set. When you were 5, you wanted to climb into your wardrobe and find something amazing at the back of it – now you finally can!”
