Pop-Up Screens announce Christmas slate

Christmas comes but once a year, and we all know Christmas is a magical and special time for us to indulge in some well-deserved fun with friends and family. Last year, Pop Up Screens bought you ‘Cinema In the Snow,’ and this year Pop Up Screens will be returning with more movies, more snow and more magic with a unique yuletide film experience in the heart of Notting Hill. Whether you’re looking for a memorable day out for all the family, an exciting idea for the office party, or just want to get merry with pals; Pop Up Screens gives you the chance to indulge in a truly sparkling Christmas celebration.

2013’s series of screenings will run at the spectacular 20th Century Theatre, Notting Hill; where the grand venue will be transformed into a haven of all things Christmassy. Expect a winter wonderland with the entrance to the cinema in the form of a mystery door disguised as a wardrobe. Of course you’ll be able to get your cold mitts on some of your favourite festive treats too, with a fully stocked bar serving all the good stuff, plus mulled wine, beer and some decadent hot chocolates.

Pop Up Screens founder David Leydon said: “Christmas needs to be exciting and fun and magical so we put all those emotions into a blender, sprinkled in what we learnt from last year and have come up with a bigger, better and more snow filled cinema experience than ever. It’s genuinely exciting for us to put this on, so hopefully when you venture through the wardrobe into the cinema you’ll be transported into a different world that shaves 15 years off your age so you can shamelessly play in the snow too.”

A grand total of 22 films will be shown over 8 days, running from the 13th of December up until the 20th. You’ll find festive favourites suitable for all ages and occasions; just some of the classics on offer are Elf, Love Actually and Miracle on 34th Street. Screenings will take place up to three times per day – 1pm, 5.30pm and 8.30pm, ideal for a post-work treat, a day out with the family or to chill out with friends. Doors for all events open an hour beforehand, so there’s plenty of time for you to soak up the Christmas cheer! Ticket prices for the events range from £5 / £10 for kids and OAPS, up to £16 for full adult tickets, full ticket information is available at http://www.popupscreens.co.uk/

So before you dust off that Santa hat, write your Christmas lists, and dig out your stocking for another year; come and join us for what promises to be a snowy, jolly and cheer filled cinema trip like no other.
