Leeds Young Film Festival celebrates success

Leeds Young Film Festival is over for another year and has celebrated the greatest Young filmmaker success stories and cinema’s greatest milestones.  Film lovers enjoyed film screenings, workshops, masterclasses and award ceremonies.

Special guests at the festival included director Wiktor Skrzynecki; Emmerdale’s Dominic Brunt and the BBFC’s Heidi Renton, teaching about how dark urban superhero tale Chronicle was given its age classification.

The festival workshops were a success with over 20 films being created.  There were two award ceremonies: Leeds Young Filmmakers Golden Owl Awards which were at the beginning of the festival and the INDIs (Independent Directions) Awards.

The festival had a grand finale on Friday 5th April where all the films created during the festival were shown as well as the Golden Owl Winners at the Film Festival Showcase.
