First reviews in for Curse of Chucky

The first reviews are in for the sixth instalment of the Child’s Play series Curse of Chucky.

The straight to DVD/Blu-ray release, which is available from 21st October in the UK, is said to take Chucky back to his horror roots and away from the tongue-in-cheek comedy of the previous two films. Curse of Chucky has started to screen in the US the first reviews are very positive:

‘Curse of Chucky may just be the best home video sequel since Wrong Turn 2. Itā€™s alarmingly good, which puts pressure on Universal to answer as to why they didnā€™t let Mancini shoot this for theaters. Chucky fans should rejoice, though, as Curse of Chucky is clearly going to re-ignite the franchise for years to come.’ 4/5
