First Man IMAX featurettes land with NASA heroes & Ryan Gosling

First Man blasts into cinema screens next week, and in paying homage to the wonders of Space travel, a brand new IMAX featurette has landed.

Discussing the incredible human feat of Space exploration, NASA heroes talk about their thoughts in preparation for the theatrical release of First Man, which hits cinemas on Friday 12th October.

Directed by Damien Chazelle, who gained world-wide fame with the Oscar winning double of Whiplash and La La Land, helms this impressive movie that looks at the life of Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon.

First Man stars Ryan Gosling as Neil Armstrong in a film that focuses on the life of Armstrong and the personal struggles he had to overcome to be a success in the US space mission.

Along with the IMAX Space featurette, another behind the scenes video has arrived with Ryan Gosling telling audiences to witness First Man in IMAX.

The lunar sequences in Damien Chazelle’s latest film were filmed with IMAX cameras and they give the film a really unique visual platform. In addition to delivering crystal-clear images, the screen picture will expand in the lunar sequences by up to 26% more than in standard cinema screens. This is only happening in IMAX, allowing moviegoers to experience the film the way it was truly intended by the director.

Coupling those awe-inspiring images on the biggest screen with IMAX’s sensational, one-of-a-kind sound technology set-up means audiences will be fully immersed, and feel like they are truly a part of this remarkable true story.

First Man stars Gosling alongside Claire Foy, Jason Clarke, Kyle Chandler, Patrick Fugit, Ciaran Hinds, Ethan Embry, Shea Whigham, Corey Stoll and Pablo Schreiber.
