FilmDoo launches global design competition

Online film discovery platform for international and independent films FilmDoo, has launched a global design competition.

The newly launched competition will see three lucky winners given the paid opportunity to create artwork for an upcoming film release. The competition is supported by leading global technology and design brands including Adobe, Scan and NVIDIA.

The competition opened on 28th January 2015 and will run to 30th April 2015. Entrants can submit their film-inspired piece of artwork of film poster via the FilmDoo website and Adobeā€™s Behance platform. The winner will be announced in May 2015 during the Cannes Film Festival and the winning posters will be printed and promoted.

Winning designs will be chosen by a leading panel of judges from within the design and film industry. The Top Three winning entries receive the following amazing prizes from our partners:

  • Paid opportunity to design artwork for film release in 2015;
  • One year license for Adobe Creative Cloud, which includes a Behance Prosite account;
  • $1,500 (approximately Ā£1,000) redeemable against courses from Raindance;
  • $1,500 (approximately Ā£1,000) voucher from Scan Computers;
  • A powerful workstation graphics card from NVIDIA; and
  • A signed copy of Little White Liesā€™ ā€˜What I Love About Moviesā€™.

FilmDoo Co-Founder Weerada Sucharitkul said, ā€œAlthough FilmDoo is a Film Discovery website, we still feel that going to the cinema is a filmic experience second to none. Part of that experience is checking out the movie posters in the cinema lobby, or even collecting them, so weā€™re thrilled to be paying homage to the art of movie posters with such prestigious partners, allowing you, the film-viewer, to have your own work up there for others to see. So if you have an eye for film, show us what youā€™re made of!ā€

The #FilmDooCreativity Competition is also supported by leading Film Distributors Altitude Entertainment, Picturehouse Entertainment, Peccadillo Pictures, Third Window Films, and Terracotta Distribution, as well as cutting edge film magazine Little White Lies.
