The day kicks off with the UK premiere of Irish movie Dark Touch which stars Ronan Keating’s daughter Marie Missy Keating. Directed by Marina De Van, the film tells the tale of Niamh, an 11-year-old girl who is the only survivor when her family is attacked by the murderous rage of their house. Taken in by family friends, Niamh tries to find piece but the violence around her threatens to unleash itself again.

Banshee Chapter (1.30pm)

The world premiere of Blair Erickson’s movie Banshee Chapter is taking the lunch-time slot today. Starring Dexter’s Katia Winter, the movie tells the tale of journalist Anne Roland who looks into mind control when her friend goes missing. After finding a videotape of her friend taking a mind-altering drug, Anne is thrown into a dangerous conspiracy.

Odd Thomas (3.35pm)

Anton Yelchin gets leading man status in the new movie from Stephen Sommers. A thrilling supernatural adventure fantasy, Odd Thomas is based on the book by Dean R. Koontz. Thomas can see murdered dead people and decides its his duty to make sure their killers pay for their sins. Sounds pretty interesting/menacing doesn’t it?

We Are What We Are (6.30pm)

Jim Mickle retells Jorge Michel Grau’s Mexican art-house fantasy as a chilling American Gothic tale. After the death of their mother, teenagers Iris and Rose Parker are ordered to carry out a macabre ancestral ritual by their father. When a storm hits the authorities start to suspect that the Park family are hiding secrets. How long before their dark secrets are exposed?
