Disney’s Frozen heads to The Royal Albert Hall

Disney’s monumental worldwide hit Frozen is heading to The Royal Albert Hall.

Fans of the award-winning animated adventure can sing-along in the iconic surroundings of the great hall, with the venue having just announced three interactive performances.

When Frozen makes its bow at the Hall on Monday 17 November, audiences will be invited to become a part of the show, joining in with all of the film’s original songs, including ‘Let It Go’, the chart-topping song that has so far received over 500 million YouTube views.

Jasper Hope, Chief Operating Officer at the Royal Albert Hall, said: “Frozen has captured the public imagination like few family films of recent decades and we are delighted to be presenting it at the Hall as a sing-along show.

“We know better than anyone that there’s nothing quite like 5,000 voices singing live to raise the roof – the Royal Albert Hall is the perfect venue for this unique event.

“With children under four admitted free, it’s the ideal show for everyone who has fallen in love with this movie – and refuses to let it go.”

Frozen is the highest-grossing Disney film of all time, having made over $1 billion at the global box office. Critics and audiences are united in their praise for the film which, amongst its many accolades, has won two Academy Awards® for Best Animation and Best Original Song for ‘Let It Go’, as well as a BAFTA® Award and a Golden Globe®.

In November, the film will receive its special screenings at the Royal Albert Hall, which has become the place to see lavish, innovative productions of crowd-pleasing movies both new and old.

As Frozen is shown in stunning high-definition, the lyrics will be projected on the screen – with a bouncing snowflake allowing audiences to join in with the film’s stars Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Josh Gad and Jonathan Groff, and sing-along.

Future shows at the Royal Albert Hall include film-with-live-orchestra screenings of both Titanic and a special concert celebrating the work of film score composer Danny Elfman, which premièred at the venue last year.
