Cuban Fury hits cinemas next Friday 14th February on Valentine’s Day.
To celebrate this fantastic new comedy from the producers of Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and Paul and starring Nick Frost, Chris O’Dowd and Rashida Jones, we are celebrating Bejan Day!
Haven’t heard of this flamboyant feast day? Bejan (played by the hilarious Kayvan Novak) is Bruce Garrett’s (played by Nick Frost) salsa dancing companion in the film, and has some top dancing (and life) tips for the next time you paint the town red:
1. “Personally I’m a suede-head. Suede soles, for they are the future”
Bejan slickly slides all over that dance floor! These lightweight, flexible features can assist your groove.
2. “Cotton, soaks up sweat like a sponge. Vest-up, my friend.”
Going out for a night on the town in a t-shirt? Bejan advises Bruce to wear a cheeky cotton under-vest to ensure that he not only looks great, but also feels great while dancing.
3. “Silk. Smart. Casual. Breathable.”
And let’s not forget sassy! Bejan suggests a silk shirt to complete any dancing ensemble.
4. “Linen. Flyweight for quicker movement. Shows off those turns.”
Don’t even think about wearing jeans. A more lightweight trouser is required to ensure you stay rip free.
5. “Synthetic. Less friction means fewer blisters.”
Bejan knows that a dance off for the weekend can get intense and suggests the perfect way to avoid injury with synthetic socks!
Cuban Fury is released in cinemas on Friday February 14th. Check out the trailer below along with a clip of Bejan in action!
