Critics Choice Awards 2019: Roma and A Star is Born lead the winners

The 24th annual Critics’ Choice Awards took place last night in Santa Monica, California and Roma was the night’s big winner.

Alfonso CuarĆ³n’s foreign-language drama took home Best picture, Best foreign language film, Best director and Best cinematography. A Star is Born ended the night with two awards for Best actress – Lady Gaga tied with Glenn Close – and Best song for Shallow.

In the TV categories Darren Criss continued his streak picking up Best actor in a limited series or movie made for television for his role in The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story. Criss has also picked up an Emmy and a Golden Globe for his performance in the series.
