Celine Dion will be part of the soundtrack for Disney’s live action Beauty and the Beast it has been announced.
The singer originally recorded the theme tune with Peabo Bryson and for the new movie she will perform new original song How Does a Moment Last Forever. The song was written by composer Alan Menken (The Little Mermaid, Aladdin) and lyricist Tim Rice (The Lion King, Evita).
Portions of the song are used throughout the film and interpolated into the underscore. The full-length version will play over the main-on-end title design.
Talking about her song Celine said, āBeing a part of the original āBeauty and the Beastā was such a magical experience in my life, and I’m truly honored to be a part of this film again.ā
Beauty and the Beast’s soundtrack will be released on 10th March 2017 with the film following on the 17th March 2017.
