Bond 24 title and cast details announced

This morning it was revealed that the new James Bond film will be called Spectre.

The announcement was made at a press conference from the Bond Stage at Pinewood Studios by director Sam Mendes. Previously known as Bond 24, Spectre will go into production on Monday 8th December and is due to be released on 6th November 2015 in cinemas.

Daniel Craig will reprise the role of James Bond and he will be joined by returning cast members Rory Kinnear as Tanner, Ben Whishaw as Q, Naomie Harris as Moneypenny, Ralph Fiennes as M.

New additions to the cast include Christoph Waltz, Monia Bellucci, Andrew Scott, Dave Bautista and Lea Seydoux.

The teaser synopsis for the film is:

A cryptic message from Bondā€™s past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organisation. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind Spectre.

It was also revealed that film will have a 7-month shoot in locations including Mexico City, The Alps and London, and James Bond’s new car will an Aston Martin DB10.

Spectre is written by John Logan and Neal Purvis & Robert Wade, Director of Photography is Hoyte van Hoytema and Editor is Lee Smith. Production Designer, Dennis Gassner returns along with Costume Designer, Jany Temime and Composer, Thomas Newman. Action Specialist, Alexander Witt is the 2nd Unit Director. Stunt Coordinator is Gary Powell, SFX Supervisor is Chris Corbould, and Visual Effects Supervisor is Steve Begg.
