2013 EE BAFTA Film Award winners announced

The EE BAFTA Film Awards have been announced and it was a great year for Warner Bros and Argo.

Argo was named Best Film at the EE British Academy Film Awards hosted by Stephen Fry and held at London’s Royal Opera House. Ben Affleck also won the Best Director BAFTA with the film also taking the BAFTA for Editing.

Les Misérables won four BAFTAs whilst Amour won the award for Film Not in the English Language. Daniel Day-Lewis took the Lead Actor for Lincoln whilst Emmanuelle Riva won Best Actress for Amour.

Christoph Waltz won Supporting Actor for his performance in Django Unchained and the film’s writer/director Quentin Tarantino won the Original Screenplay BAFTA.

Outstanding British Film and Original Music were awarded to the latest James Bond adventure Skyfall whilst Life of Pi won the Cinematography and Special Visual Effects BAFTAs.

The EE Rising Star Award, voted for by the public, was presented to Juno Temple.
