We Are FSTVL 2014 Sunday review

Day 2 at We Are FSTVL was much sunnier and flesh was everywhere to be seen, bikinis, short shorts, topless chests every part of the body was exposed! Winner of best new festival at the Festival Awards, We Are FSTVL was always going to try and impress crowds even more this year. So it did with its impressive line up that included the likes of Sven Vath, Ricardo Villalobos, Annie Mac, Andy C, Noisia and non other than Fatboy Slim himself all on Sunday’s bill.

Spending a day on a field was only more rewarding knowing that it was a bank holiday weekend and that there would be a full day to recover.

We started our day enjoying a set from Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs over at the Desperados Whse stage. TEED never disappoints with his sets and although we didn’t hear much of his own music we did enjoy a heavy set of big tracks. Over at the Cocoon stage it was Ricardo Villalobos and Sven Vath that really made our day, with heavy bass tracks and an incredible sound system these two delivered every bit as expected.

Loadstar and Noisia really brought in the goods with a heavy set from both acts. Ravers were there giving it their all and more space meant more chance to show off those moves. Andy C brought in more crowds during his set and rightly so.

We moved on to the main stage where Duke Dumont and Annie Mac both played epic tracks that will probably become anthems this summer and then came nightfall. We are FSTVL’s Eat Sleep Rave Repeat stage was packed and everybody seemed to be waiting for the man of the hour Fatboy Slim. Slim took the stage and with the help of some impressive light shows and visuals his set was brought to life in an explosive way. We heard classics such as Eat Sleep Rave Repeat, Praise You and Right Here Right Now but also a remix of Nancy Sinatra’s Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down) and many more tracks, which were toped by fireworks.

We Are FSTVL closed its gates for another year but for anyone still needing to party official after parties were at Studio 338, Ministry of Sound and Egg. As we reminisced on the days behind us many smiles graced all our faces.
