Edinburgh Fringe festival 2018 announces wave of acts

Endingburgh Fringe festival is back this summer for another round of Comedy fun. With exciting new comedians and a myriad of side-shows including, cabaret, clubbing, theatre and much more, Fringe festival has got something on offer for everyone.

Some of this year’s acts include the likes of Edinburgh Fringe Best Newcomer winner, Alex Edelmen, So You Think You’re Funny winner Maisie Adam, US chat show stalwart Myq Kaplan, The Voice UK’s Ivy Paige, Comedian and Ex On The Beach voiceover star Andrew Maxwell, beloved children’s TV stars Dick and Dom, Comedian and actor Terry Alderton, star of IV2’s Tricked Ben Hanlin, plus many more!

Edinburgh Fringe festival started back in 1947, when eight theatre groups turned up uninvited to perform at the (then newly formed) Edinburgh International Festival, an initiative created to celebrate and enrich European cultural life in the wake of the Second World War. The formality of not being part of the official programme of the International Festival didn’t stop these troupes, they just went ahead and staged their shows on the fringe of the Festival anyway, coining the phrase, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Since the dawn of this spontaneous artistic movement, millions have flocked to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe to produce, and to enjoy art of every genre.
