Shaw’s Women interviews

Shaw’s Women is the latest show from the critically-acclaimed Jane Nightwork Productions (Making Dickie Happy, Oedipus Retold), and is directed by Robert Gillespie, who has a considerable résumé as both actor and director, but is best-known for his roles in many British sitcoms. It marries two one-act George Bernard Shaw plays (Village Wooing and How He Lied To Her Husband) into one evening’s entertainment, exploring themes of relationships and marriage.

You’ll recognise some famous faces amongst the cast, which includes Being Human and Wolfblood star  Mark Fleischmann and comedian Alan Francis (Psychoville). They spoke to us during rehearsals, and we also heard from experienced stage actors Viss Elliot Safavi and Madeleine Hutchins, as well as one-to-watch Josh Harper.

Shaw’s Women runs at the Tristan Bates Theatre near London’s Covent Garden from 6th – 31st January 2015. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased through the Tristan Bates Theatre website.
