C2C: Country to Country 2019 – Cam profile

Our love affair with Cam has been going strong for a few years now. Since the release of her Welcome to Cam Country EP back in 2015, followed by the arrival of her major label debut Untamed later the same year, Cam has made touring in the UK a huge priority. She performed at C2C: Country to Country in 2017 and has been back multiple times since. Her recent single Diane has become a fan favourite and when we saw her perform at Islington Assembly Hall earlier this year, she sang it twice due to fan demand.

One of the most vocal artists about the divide between gender in the Country music genre, Cam has made great strides in trying to even the playing field. Having experienced sexism during her career so far, Cam is determined to prove that female Country artists have just as big a potential fanbase as male artists. Few artists have been as bold or honest as Cam, which likely has had an effect on her success in the US post-Burning House, but we admire her refusal to sit quietly and do as she’s told.

Aside from that she’s one hell of a vocalist and songwriter. If you haven’t seen her live, then believe us when we say you’re in for a real treat at C2C 2019. Sounding even better than she does on record, Cam is the kind of performer who draws you in with her personality and wows you with her vocals and her songwriting. Honestly, she could sing the phone book and we’d be queuing up for tickets to the show.

With a new album on the horizon, which she’s been teasing at her more recent live shows, 2019 is looking like it’s going to be another huge year for Cam. Last time she was at C2C, Cam performed on the Spotlight Stage but this time she’ll be the second act on the Main Stage in London on Friday 8th March 2019. Just the thought of hearing a full arena singing Diane is getting us very, very excited.

Take a listen to Untamed below:

Cam will perform at C2C: Country to Country 2019 on Friday 8th March 2019. For more information and tickets, visit http://c2c-countrytocountry.com.
