C2C: Country to Country 2017 – Top 5 Main Stage performances

C2C: Country to Country took place at The O2 Arena in London this past weekend and it brought a lot of great performers to the Main Stage.

With 11 acts taking to the Main Stage over the 3 days of the festival, there was something for everyone. Whether you were a fan of contemporary or traditional music, more interested in emerging or established artists, or just loved everything, the line-up had fantastic variety.

After watching all of the Main Stage performances, I’ve picked the five that made the biggest impression on me.

5. Darius Rucker

If there’s one thing you can say about Darius Rucker, it’s that he knows how to entertain. His set energised the crowd and had lots of C2C goers wondering why he wasn’t one of the headline acts this year. With a set filled with hits, covers and a couple of Hootie & the Blowfish classics, Darius put on one hell of a show and he was easily the best performer to grace the Main Stage on Saturday night.

4. Jennifer Nettles

Prior to C2C I’ll admit I wasn’t expecting Jennifer Nettles to blow me away. It’s not that I don’t like her music, I do, but I wasn’t as excited about her as some of the other artists on the lineup. As soon as she opened her mouth to sing, I knew I should have been excited about her from the moment she was announced. With a powerhouse voice, plenty of stage presence and belting songs, she was one of the biggest surprises of the weekend.

3. Chris Young

It was the second time that Chris Young appeared as part of C2C but it’s the first time I got to see him live. Chris sang through his catalogue, brought Cassadee Pope on stage for the incredible Think of You, and shared those deliciously husky tones with a packed-out arena. There’s a reason he has such a hardcore fanbase and part of that is his ability to perform a stunning live set.

2. Brothers Osborne

[brid video=”118609″ player=”531″ title=”Brothers Osborne Stay A Little Longer”]

T.J. and John created quite the buzz ahead of their performance on Day 3 and they didn’t disappoint. Singing selections from their debut album Pawn Shop, the CMA Award winners kicked off the final day of C2C with a bang. With tight harmonies and T.J.’s incredibly deep (and sexy) voice taking on the lead vocals, Brothers Osborne wowed the audience and left me seriously impressed.

1. Zac Brown Band

Of the three headliners this weekend Zac Brown Band were the one everyone seemed to want to see. I wasn’t as familiar with their catalogue as the other acts performing but boy will I be doing my research following their set. Zac Brown Band sung all of the hits, played nearly every musical style you can think of and brought a huge party to The O2 Arena. I left with a huge smile on my face!

C2C: Country to Country will return in 2018 on 9th, 10th and 11th March. The lineup will be announced later in the year!
