The soulful and deep voiced Chris Young will be returning to C2C: Country to Country this year, marking his second main stage performance at the festival.
The singer-songwriter will be the penultimate act on the main stage on Friday 10th March 2017, warming up the crowd before the weekend’s first headliner Brad Paisley. No stranger to the UK, Chris has toured here several times before and he’s built a loyal following over the years.
After winning reality TV series Nashville Star in 2006, Chris has seen his star rise quickly and he’s now considered one of the leading male stars of the Country music genre. Releasing his self-title debut in 2006, Chris experienced a real breakthrough with the release of his third album Neon in 2011. That album gave him his highest album sales so far in his career and at the time it was the highest chart placing he’d had too.
2015’s I’m Comin’ Over was Chris’ first album to top the US Country Chart and it spawned a monster hits with its title track and Think Of You featuring Cassadee Pope. Both songs hit number one on US Country Airplay charts, adding to Chris’ tally of number ones – Voices, Tomorrow and You.
Chris’ latest single from I’m Comin’ Over is Sober Saturday Night, which features the legendary Vince Gill.
At the end of 2016, Chris released his first holiday collection It Must Be Christmas. The album saw him team up with Brad Paisley, Boyz II Men and Alan Jackson. It was well received by fans and critics and was a nice bridge to his new album, which we’re hoping arrives at some point this year.
