Blindspot renewed for season 4

If you’re a fan of Blindspot we’ve got some fantastic news for you. NBC has announced that the show has been renewed again and will be back for a fourth season.

Here’s the tweet from the official Blindspot Twitter account that confirmed the news:

The renewal is very unexpected as the show looked to be cancelled after season 2. However the shows creators always had a three season arc planned for the story and it finally got the renewal the fans wanted.

There’s only 2 episodes of Blindspot season 3 left to go and the finale will air in the US on May 18th with the UK following shortly after on May 22nd.

The Blindspot cast include Jaimie Alexander, Sullivan Stapleton, Ashley Johnson, Rob Brown, Audrey Esparza, Luke Mitchell, Ennis Esmer, Ukweli Roach, Michelle Hurd and Archie Panjabi.

Watch the Blindspot season 3 trailer below:

The show focuses on a mysterious tattooed woman (Jaimie Alexander) who was found naked in a duffel bag in Times Square in season one. With no memories of who she is or her past the FBI decide to call her Jane Doe. The FBI team who found her discovered that the tattoos on her body are clues to unsolved crimes.

The ratings have dropped over the course of the three seasons but a different timeslot for season 3 in the US seems to have stablised ratings around 3.5 million.

There’s no word yet on the number of episodes in the fourth season. Season one featured 23 episodes with 22 more in both seasons two and three. We’re hoping that there will be a similar number again in season four.
