Blindspot returns to UK screens tomorrow night (November 6th, 2017) for a third season which we’re expecting to be the last. We’re getting the season just over a week behind the US so be careful of spoilers. On EF we’ll be following along with the episodes as they air in the UK.
In the Blindspot season two finale, Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) and his FBI team finally took down Sandstorm. Shepherd (Michelle Hurd) was shown to be held at a CIA blacksite, with Nas (Archie Panjabi) as her interrogator.
The season ended mysteriously with a flash forward into the future. Jane (Jaimie Alexander) appeared to have gone dark and was living with monks in the middle of nowhere. Weller unexpectedly turned up and said she needed to go back with him as he needed her help. He explained that Patterson (Ashley Johnson), Zapata (Audrey Esparza) and Reade (Rob Brown) had all been kidnapped. Jane asked if it was Roman(Luke Mitchell) but Weller didn’t know.
Weller presented Jane with a mysterious metal box that no one had been able to open. When they both touched it, the box opened and revealed a metal trinket that it lit up with the same bird image as Jane’s neck tattoo. When placed next to the tattoo all her tattoos seemed to activate and began glowing revealing unseen details. Before we got any answers the season came to a close.

The season three premiere is called Back to the Grind and here’s the official synopsis:
Eighteen months after parting ways under mysterious circumstances, the FBI team is brought back together by a new crisis.
The trailer opens up with the flash forward from the end of season 2. It shows that in season 3 the team do get back together and there’s plenty of action as usual. Weller is seen explaining how things have changed to Jane.
He tells her that Reade is now running the New York Office, Tasha has transferred to the CIA and Patterson moved to Silicon Valley to develop some kind of app. The best reveal is that Rich Dotcom (Ennis Esmer) has joined the FBI team.
It looks like Roman is the big bad for this season and he’s finally trimmed his crazy long beard. He’s shown taunting Jane over the phone and she and Weller seem to be in pursuit of him.
