On the latest episode of Blindspot, the team were forced to put Roman (Luke Mitchell) into play.
Last episode a photo was discovered that showed Roman with a biker gang called the Viper Kings. Jane (Jaimie Alexander) was convinced that they must have links to Sandstorm and convinced Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) to let her go undercover with Roman.
Dr. Sun was able to help Roman recover a memory about the gang. He remembered feeling important and buying weapons from them. So they cooked up a plan to get friendly, sell them weapons to sell on to Sandstorm and then capture Shepherd.
They headed out to a bar called The Nest where the gang hang out. After walking in Roman remembered a girl named Kat. He’d had a relationship with her and ditched her. Upset at seeing him again she came straight over and punched him in the face.
After the situation calmed down they put their plan into action. Roman got ahead of himself and told their leader that he could get them a hard to find military explosive known as HMX.
The FBI arranged for some fake explosive to be loaded into a van along with a small amount of the real stuff. Getting the explosives required Nas (Archie Panjabi) to call in a favour. Weller and Reade (Rob Brown) then drove the truck while Roman, Jane and the biker gang stole it.
Still not convinced by Roman’s story the leader told him to shoot Weller and Reade. Jane looked on in horror as he obliged and then they left with the explosives. Fortunately Weller and Reade were wearing bulletproof vests and escaped with only bruises. They wondered if Roman had known that they were.
Later Roman and Jane convinced Kat to help them. Sadly Kat was killed in a shootout. Roman showed absolutely no emotion. The FBI tried to ambush Sandstorm but were too late and found the rest of the biker gang dead with the explosives gone.
Elsewhere in the episode, Freddie’s ex-girlfriend showed up at Reade’s apartment. He told her he couldn’t help her and didn’t know where he’d gone. Later on she returned and they slept together.
At the end of the episode, Jane turned up at Weller’s apartment with some beers. She stayed for a drink and noticed that Weller was going through the file Nas had on him. Jane had a flick through one and found an old photo of him playing Basketball. In the crowd she spotted Shepherd (Michelle Hurd) sat in the crowd watching the game. She showed Weller and he said he remembers her.
The next episode is Name Not One Man and here’s the official synopsis:
The team gets a major break in the Sandstorm case when they discover Shepherd’s (Michelle Hurd) true identity… and a decades-old connection between her and Weller.
