The X Factor 2014 top 5 week 4 performances

Fright Night arrived on The X Factor last night and the contestants had to up their game to stay in the competition as one act was voted off the show.

Unfortunately Jack Walton didn’t impress with his performance of Leona Lewis’ Bleeding Love and Mel B had to say goodbye to her artist. As has been the case every week this series the performances were a complete mixed bag but amongst them all there were some gems.

After watching all of the performances closely we’ve selected the Top 5 performances of the night. Read on to see who made the cut…

5. Ben Haenow – Highway To Hell

Ben is a great singer but he’s never really done much for us. Last night that changed and by letting loose he was like a completely different person. We want more of this next week Ben and no more standing around and singing.

4. Lauren Platt – Dark Horse

Despite battling with her confidence this week Laure delivered a strong performance and it was nice to see her actually moving around a bit. We hope Cheryl continues to work on Lauren’s performance ability as the show progresses.

3. Stereo Kicks – Everybody

The 8-piece boyband are finally coming into their own and last night was their best performance yet. They seem to be winning over the judges and the public and their hopes to reach the final may not misplaced if they keep performing like this.

2. Fleur East – Thriller

We’re starting to think that Mel B has a vendetta against Fleur East. Her performance was fantastic last night and it’s not easy to do all that choreography and sing live. Fleur handled it like a pro and we loved it.

1. Stevi Ritchie – Music of the Night

Where the hell did that performance come from Stevi? The vocals weren’t great on the first verse but once he hit the chorus he proved he can actually sing. Easily the performance of the night and he did a fantastic job!

The X Factor 2014 continues tonight at 8pm on ITV and another act will be going home. Tune in to find out who it is.
