Critically-acclaimed spy drama The Americans returns to DVD on Monday with the release of the show’s second season.
The Americans: The Complete Second Season centres on the complex marriage of two KGB spies posing as Americans in suburban Washington D.C. shortly after Ronald Reagan is elected President. The arranged marriage of Philip (Matthew Rhys) and Elizabeth Jennings (Keri Russell) ā who have two children clueless of their parentsā true identity ā grows increasingly passionate and genuine by the day, but is constantly tested by the escalation of the Cold War, FBI agent Stan Beeman (Noah Emmerich) and the intimate and dangerous relationships they must maintain with a network of spies and informants under their control.
Ahead of the DVD release on Monday we’ve got our hands on two clips; one from the season opener Comrades and one from the season finale Echo. If you’re worried about spoilers then proceed with caution before you watch the clips.
The Americans kicks off its third season in the US next week with a UK transmission to be confirmed.
The Americans: The Complete Second Season is out on DVD on 26th January from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. You can watch the two clips from the DVD release below:
