A new trailer has been released for the second season of Amazon Original series The Man in the High Castle.
Premiering on the Amazon Video UK YouTube channel, the new trailer gives fans of the show a good look at what’s coming up in the second season of the show. Season 2 will debut on Amazon Prime Video in the UK of Friday 16th December 2016.
Returning for the new season are Alexa Davalos, Luke Kleintank, Rupert Evans and Rufus Sewell. Other returning cast members include Hiroyuki Tagawa, Joel De La Fuente and DJ Qualls. Bella Heathcote joins the new seasons as Nicole Becker.
The critically acclaimed Season One saw an alternate, post World War II world in turmoil, where the allied forces have lost power to the Nazis, and the United States, as well as much of the world, being split between Japan and Germany; the major hegemonic states. Juliana Crain (Alexa Davalos) became entangled with the resistance after her half-sister Trudy was murdered after giving her an intriguing film reel, entitled āThe Grasshopper Lies Heavyā.
In season 2, the weight of war weighs heavy with the delicate peace treaty between Germany and Japan hanging in the balance, as Japan puts plans in place to construct an atomic bomb. With Joe Blake (Luke Kleintank), Frank Frink (Rupert Evans), Juliana Crain and John Smith (Rufus Sewell) each setting out on individual missions to prevent the mass destruction, a butterfly effect is triggered whereby just one small action has the potential for wide-scale impact. But will they be able to succeed? And just who is The Man in The High Castle?
The Man in the High Castle is based on Philip K. Dickās 1962 alternative history book and questions what would happen if the Allied Powers had lost World War II.
