The latest trailer for Marvel’s The Defenders debuted during San Diego Comic Con at the weekend.
The superhero team-up series launched on Netflix on 18th August 2017 at 12:01am PT. Lucky fans at the convention for to watch a surprise screening of the first episode nearly a month before its release.
Marvel’s The Defenders follows Matt Murdock/Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Danny Rand/Iron Fist (Finn Jones), a quartet of singular heroes with one common goal – to save New York City. This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who realize they just might be stronger when teamed together.
During the panel for the show, it was also announced that Marvel’s Iron Fist has been renewed for a second season.
Other cast members appearing in Marvel’s The Defenders include Sigourney Weaver (Alexandra), Elodie Yung (Elektra), Scott Glenn (Stick), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), Carrie-Anne Moss (Jeri Hogarth), Rachael Taylor (Trish Walker), Eka Darville (Malcolm Ducasse), Simone Missick (Misty Knight) and Jessica Henwick (Colleen Wing).
