The X Factor 2015 continued last night with its third live show of the series as Movie Week arrived.
There was plenty of drama with last minute song changes and 4th Impact almost having to pull out of performing after one of its members passed out earlier in the day (and nearly did again after performing last night!). In the midst of all the drama though there were some fantastic performances.
We’ve reviewed all of last night’s performances again and selected our Top 5 of the night. Keep reading to find out who we enjoyed…
5. Louisa Johnson – Everybody’s Free
There’s no denying that Louisa has a fantastic voice but we’re already getting a sense of deja vu every time she performs. She’s only young but she needs to work on her performance and a little variety wouldn’t go amiss. Vocally she’s one of the best in the competition and her performance last night was pretty impressive.
4. Monica Michael – What is Love?
We’re so glad that Monica’s song was changed. Her original choice – Bang Bang – would have been a terrible choice for her. Instead she sung a song from TV show Empire and it really showcased her voice. We’ve never considered her to have the biggest voice in the competition but what she lacks in power she makes up for in emotion.
3. Reggie N Bollie – Who Let the Dogs Out
We thought Cheryl had lost her marbles when she put this duo through to the live shows but she obviously saw their potential when most of us didn’t. Reggie N Bollie aren’t really singers and they’re definitely this year’s novelty act but there’s no denying that people LOVE them. They have an energy that is so infectious and last night’s performance brought the house down.
2. Lauren Murray – One Last Time
We LOVE Lauren. For our money she’s the best of the girls left in the competition and one of the best singers. Like Monica, Lauren had to change her song at the last minute due to the attacks in Paris so she sung Ariana Grande’s One Last Time rather than the original choice Licence to Kill. The stripped-down version was a highlight of the night and Lauren sounded fantastic.
1. Che Chesterman – When a Man Loves a Woman
We’re fast becoming a big fan of Che and Cheryl hit the nail on the head last night when she told him that she couldn’t get enough of his voice – we can’t either! There is the fear that he may end up being a covers singer after the competition but with the right direction he could be a fantastic contemporary soul singer. His vocal was off the hook last night!
