Strictly Come Dancing is well and truly back on our screens which means we’ve got weeks of entertainment to come and that the countdown to Christmas is here!
Last night all 15 couples danced for the second time in a last bid to secure the public vote so that they aren’t the first to leave the competition. The standard this year varies quite wildly so it really could be anyone that goes home in tonight’s first results show.
We’ve reviewed all of the performances from last night and compiled our Top 5 routines of the evening. Keep reading to find out who we rated…
5. Helen George and Aljaz Skorjanec – Cha Cha
Call the Midwife actress Helen George is establishing herself as one of the frontrunners in this year’s competition. Her Cha Cha with Aljaz was sexy, fun and confident. We can’t wait to see what the couple do in the coming weeks.
4. Peter Andre and Janette Manrara – Quickstep
Technically Peter is the best dancer in the competition but that’s hardly a surprise given the fact he’s been a dancer for years. He came top of the leaderboard and there is little to fault in his Quickstep but we just didn’t enjoy his performance as much as some of the other celebs. He’ll likely sail through to the final with Janette though.
3. Katie Derham and Anton du Beke – Tango
When Katie dances you can see she’s having a lot of fun, which means we’re also having loads of fun. Not only are we relieved that Anton finally has a decent dance partner, we’re also happy that their chemistry is one of the best things about this year’s series. A confident and polished Tango!
2. Jay McGuiness and Aliona Vilani – Waltz
Who knew that The Wanted star Jay could be sophisticated and super smooth? The Waltz he performed last night with Aliona was stunning and it marked him out as a real contender. Could he be the competition’s dark horse?
1. Anita Rani and Gleb Savchenko – Charleston
Whilst it wasn’t the cleanest Charleston we’ve ever seen, we absolutely loved Anita and Gleb’s routine. They attacked it with so much energy and gusto, more so than any other couple, and that’s why they are ranked at the top of our week 2 performances.
Strictly Come Dancing 2015 continues tonight at 7.15pm on BBC One. Tune in to find out which couple will be going home.
