The X Factor: Judges houses recap 2

Tonight, we learnt who got through to the final twelve ofThe X Factor 2012. With so much talent, it was going to be hard for all four judges to make their decisions.

The Girls were first to learn their fate, and Ella Henderson was told by Tulisa: “I think you’re a little star, and I’m taking you through to the live shows.” She burst out crying and was very overwhelmed. Tulisa told Jade: “You are ready to go through to the finals, but there’s only three spaces, and it’s difficult. For me, you don’t have the strongest voice in the competition, but your tone is amazing. You have a little girl, and you’re doing this for your little girl. But, I know you’ve been struggling quite a bit, but I am taking you through to the live shows.” Jade cried with emotion. As did EF. She said: “Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart.

With one place remaining, it was between Lucy Spragan and Amy from Essex. Telling Lucy her fate, she said: “I’ve loved you from the start, and I still love you, so I’m taking you through to the live shows.” Amy was gutted.

Next were The Groups. Over in Las Vegas, Louis Walsh told MK1: “I like the fact you’re current, and you like great music. Guys, you are in my final 3!” He told.. “You’re great dancers, but your vocals are not great. Are you versatile enough for the live shows? You’re going home.”

Moving on to Duke, Poisonous Twin and GMD3. All three impressed in their auditions, so Louis job was very hard. Louis told Duke: “I remember you walking in, and you were different from everything I’d seen. But, are you versatile enough for the live shows? I‘ve been thinking about it all night guys. I‘m sorry, it all ends here.”

Telling Poisonous Twin: “You had potential, but yesterday, your vocals weren’t great. Its bad news, you’re going home.” They said: “That was really hard, its like someone’s ripped our hearts out.”

Telling GMD3: “I loved your chemistry, but it’s a very crowded market. But, its not good news I‘m afraid…Its good news! You‘re coming through to the live shows!”

Next were Union J, Louis said: “We loved your first audition, and the sing-off. Putting Jay there too was great. But have we got time? I’ve thought long and hard about it. Guys, we’re in Vegas, but I’m not a gambling man…until today! You’re in!” The boys jumped and hugged him!

Next to learn their future were The Boys. Over in Dubai with Nicole, they were all very nervous. First was James. Nicole told him: “I’m not sure if you’re strong enough for the competition. James, its not good news – it’s freaking amazing news! You’re through to the live shows!” He was ecstatic.

Jarmaine was told: “When Ne-Yo heard your voice yesterday, he was in awe, but I’m worried about your confidence and nerves. If I do take you trough, it will be a big risk for me. But, I’m willing to take that risk. You’re through. Grow some balls for the live shows? Well done.”

Jake, who EF loves, was very nervous to hear his fate. “It would be devastating if I didn’t get through.” He didn’t get through, and neither did Nathan. It was then between Ryland and  Adam, and Nicole went with Ryland, telling him: “Its such a big risk for me, but I have to take it.2 The live shows just got that much interesting for EF now….! Ryland cried and cried, and cried. And cried.

The last to learn their fate were The Overs, with the gorgeous Gary Barlow. They all felt physically sick. First to hear the news was Brad, Nicola and Kai. Kai said: “Its weird to think that last night someone made the biggest decision of my life. This to me means everything I don’t want to hear the word ‘No.” Nicola said: “Am I good enough? It would take someone like Gary to make me believe in myself. If its not good enough now, it will never be.” Brad said: “It will be really difficult to go home and tell my family that I didn’t make it.” Gary told Kai: “I feel that everything time I’ve seen you, you’ve presented yourself really well on stage. I need people to go out there every Saturday night, to deliver. I‘ve made my decision, you are going to the live shows.” To Nicole: “Your first audition, I couldn’t take my eyes off the stage. I want everyone to have their moment this weekend. I’m not taking you through to the live shows, I’m sorry.” Brad was told: “I love your voice. But who will buy your records? I can feel what it means to you today, sat here. I have made my decision, but I‘m sorry you are not in my final three.” Brad was devastated. Yay to Kai!

We then saw Carolynne, and she was told by Gary: “I think the exciting thing about you is you something we’ve never seen before, but you have a fear of failing, and that terrifies me. The pressure will go up fifty times in live shows, and that’s what I’m worried about. It would be awful, two years running, for you to go out of the competition in the same round, but you’re going through to the live shows.” Carolynne had tears of joy.

Next up was Christopher, and Gary told him: “I felt like you had a great day yesterday. You’ve had an amazing audition, and people were crying in that audition. I have a problem with your nerves though, they scare the living daylights out of me. It scares me. This has been my hardest decision. I’m sorry, you are not in my final three.”

Melanie was told: “Your voice is amazing. You’ve hit notes that other people dream of. My question is, why haven’t you made it by now? Its down to what I feel is a safe bet, cause I’m dealing with people’s lives. Melanie, I’ve made a decision. You’re going to the live shows.” She was ecstatic.

And there we have it – the final twelve have been revealed. Do you agree? Disagree? Leave your comments in the usual place.

The X Factor, Live Shows, begin next weekend on ITV1.
