The X Factor is taking its auditions to a theme park for the very first time.
On Sunday (9th July) and Monday (10th July) the auditions will take place at Thorpe Park. Judges Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, Nicole Scherzinger and Sharon Osbourne plus host Dermot O’Leary will be in attendance as more hopefuls audition for the new series.
The auditions will be held in a bespoke marquee created just for the show.
Dominic Jones, Divisional Director of Thorpe Park said “We welcome The X Factor judges to our thrill island, and we’ve left out our Angry Birds outfit for Louis Walsh in case he fancies a wardrobe change”.
Mark Sidaway, Executive Producer, The X Factor, said: “We’re incredibly excited to be bringing The X Factor to Thorpe Park. It’s the first time the show has ever held auditions at a theme park and it will be a fantastic setting as well as an exciting and fun change of scenery for our judges. And, you never know, you might even catch them on a ride or two.”
Thorpe Park has some of the wettest, fastest and scariest rides in the UK including Stealth – Europe’s fastest launch rollercoaster which reaches speeds of 80mph in under two seconds; Tidal Wave – a water coaster which plunges riders into an 85ft wave and the UK’s award-winning scare ride, Derren Brown’s Ghost Train: Rise of the Demon.
