The X Factor 2017: Overs and Boys Six Chair Challenge recap

The search for the next X Factor star continued tonight as both Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh had to pick the six contestants in their categories – Overs and Boys – to take through to Judges’ Houses..

Nicole started selecting her top six acts last night and she completed the task tonight, but not without some hurdles as the audience demanded she gave Talia a chair back. After some debate she gave in to the audience, which meant that it was  the end of the road for Bill.

The judge continued to struggle, even though some of the contestants didn’t perform to the best of their ability. It was ob that obvious that some of the contestants were feeling the pressure of the competition and letting it get to them.

The six contestants in the Overs category going through are:

Talia

Slavko Kalezic

Berget Lewis

Kevin Davy White

Matt Linnen

Traceyleanne Jefford

Next it was time for Louis to decide which of the Boys in his category would go through to the next stage of the competition. It was just as difficult for Louis to make up his mind as the Boys this year showed what they are made of.

Louis seemed to be in a strange mood tonight as he felt most of his acts disappointed him with weak performances. Regardless he managed to select six to take through to Judges’ Houses.

The Boys that got a seat tonight were:

Lloyd Macey

Leon Mallett

Anthony Russell

Spencer Sutherland

Aidan Martin

Jack Mason

Take a look at all of the action from tonight’s episode below:

Next week the six acts from the Overs, Groups, Boys and Girls categories will battle it out at the Judges’ Houses for a spot on the live shows.

Once the final candidates make it through to live shows, the public will take back the power and be in charge of keeping their favourite acts by voting for them.

The X Factor continues on ITV next Saturday evening.
