Stevi Ritchie was eliminated from The X Factor 2014 last night and he appeared on ITV’s This Morning earlier today to talk about his time on the show.
Talking to hosts Phillip Schofield and Amanda Holden, Stevi admitted that he knew he would never win, āI knew from day one that I wasnāt going to win. Itās one of those things. I just thought I just wanted to go as far as I can and bring the fun factor back. And I think I’ve done that!ā
This weekend viewers saw Stevi perform Elton John’s I’m Still Standing with a bizarre Egyptian theme. Talking about the performance Stevi said, āIām up for anything me, I donāt mind. I actually enjoyed that – it was one of my favourite performances actually.ā Before adding, āIt was very stickyā¦ and the weird thing is, after that they give you about five minutes to get yourself all honeyed off and hair done to get you ready for the results. It was quite touch and go!ā
During his appearance on ITV’s This Morning, Stevi also opened up about his bromance with Simon Cowell. āI love him, heās an absolutely great guy. So genuine and down to earth, and not only is he a mentor but he is a friend. I had a chat with him in the dressing room last night and was really really nice.ā
He revealed that his plans for the future may not be related to music saying, āIād love to in any way (work for Simon) – whether thatās working with Sarah-Jane [presenting] or some part of X Factorā¦ I donāt know, something like what you guys are doing!ā
