A first image has been released from upcoming series Electric Dreams.
The image features Steve Buscemi and Julia Davis in character as Ed and Sally from the first episode, Crazy Diamond.
Golden Globe and Emmy winner Buscemi (Boardwalk Empire) plays Ed Morris, an average man who is approached by a synthetic woman played by Davis (Black Mirror, Love Actually) with an illegal plan. Consumed by her charms Ed decides to assist as his world collapses. Crazy Diamond will also star Sidse Babett Knudsen (Westworld) and Joanna Scanlon (Bridget Jones’ Baby, No Offence). This episode is written by Tony Grisoni (The Young Pope, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas) and directed by Marc Munden (National Treasure).
Electric Dreams is a sci-fi anthology series from acclaimed writer Philip K. Dick and features an all-star cast. It consists of 10 episodes, each set in a different and unique world across space and time, focussing on the importance and significance of humanity.
Each episode is adapted from one of Dick’s short stories by an exciting list of British and American writers and directors.
Electric Dreams has been commissioned by Channel 4 who will premiere the series later this year in the UK. US distribution will happen via Amazon Prime Video.
